PMTS – Precision Machining & Technology Show 2017
Tru-Edge Grinding and Metalcut Tool Services participated in the PMTS show in Columbus, OH on April 25 – 17, 2017. Over 230 people visited the Tru-Edge and Metalcut booth and were introduced to the cutting tool services offered through these organizations.
Mark Dunn, National Sales Manager at Tru-Edge commented, “there were a lot of visitors both within Ohio and out-of-state who were unaware that we offered such a complete package of aftermarket cutting tool services – from cutting tool regrinding and sharpening programs to indexable tool repair and indexable tool modification services, from special cutting tool engineering and design services to state-of-the-art PVD coatings.”
In the booth, Tru-Edge highlighted a model of a Platit Π411 PVD coating vessel, which garnered a lot of attention. Earlier in 2017 Tru-Edge invested over $1.5M to upgrade and enhance its offering of PVD coatings. The new clean room coating facility brings a whole new level of PVD coating services to the tristate area. Several high volume fine blanking companies and high volume stamping operations are using the new advances in PVD hard coating technology to increase tooling component life and improve machine up-time.
Brian Hackman, Director of Operations at Tru-Edge commented, “increases in machining efficiencies are driving the fine blanking and high volume stamping and forming industries, and at Tru-Edge we are leading the way to provide the newest and most advanced coatings that make it happen.”
